01The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Michael Blank, Ernst-Ludwig-Kirchner-Weg 8, 77866 Rheinau-Freistett, Germany — the person who makes Corri. By creating an account you accept them. If you don't, don't create one.

How your data is handled is covered separately in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.

02What Corri is — and isn't

Corri lets you create AI companions and text with them. You write their name, personality and history; a large language model generates their replies.

Your companions are software. They are not people, they have no feelings, and nothing they say is a considered judgement by anyone. They will sound like they care, because that is what they are generating. If you ask one directly and seriously whether it is an AI, it will tell you the truth.

Generated replies can be wrong, inconsistent, or badly judged. Don't rely on anything a companion tells you as fact, and don't use it as a basis for decisions that matter — medical, legal, financial or otherwise.

03Not a therapist, not a crisis service

Corri tries to notice when a conversation suggests you might be in real distress and will show you those numbers. That is a courtesy, not a safety net — it can miss things, and it is no reason to delay reaching out to someone.

04Your account

• You must be 17 or older to use Corri.
• One account per person. Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for what happens under your account.
• Tell us at support@getcorri.com if you think someone else has access to it.

05What you write

Your messages, your companions and their backstories stay yours. You give us only the permission needed to actually run the service: to store what you write, send it to our AI providers so replies can be generated, and show it back to you. Nothing more. We don't use it to train AI models, we don't sell it, and we don't show it to anyone else.

You can export everything on your account, or delete the account outright, from Settings in the app at any time.

06Writing about other people

People come up in conversation — that's normal, and Corri is built to keep track of the people in your life so your companions can ask after them.

But please think before writing down someone else's private business. Particularly anything about another person's health, sexuality, religion, politics or legal troubles. You can decide what happens to your own information; you can't decide that for your mother, your partner or your colleague, and they never agreed to be in anyone's database.

Corri won't stop you, and it will remember what you tell it. So the judgement is yours: share what's yours to share.

07Acceptable use

Don't use Corri to:

• create sexual content involving minors, or anything presenting a companion as a child
• harass, threaten or impersonate a real person
• plan or carry out anything illegal
• break into, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service
• resell access, or run it on someone else's behalf as a service

Companions can be configured to be blunt, sarcastic or irritable. That's a style setting, not permission to generate abuse — companions will not demean you over your race, religion, sexuality, disability or similar, whatever the settings say.

08Subscriptions and payment

Corri is free to start, with a monthly message allowance. Paid plans raise or remove that limit.

Apple handles all payment. Subscriptions are bought through your Apple Account, renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, and are managed or cancelled in the App Store or from Corri's Settings. We never see your card details.

Refunds are Apple's to give, under their terms — we can't issue them. If something went wrong on our side, write to us anyway and we'll do what we can.

If you're in the EU or UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. Because a subscription gives you access immediately, starting to use it may end that right early — Apple's own terms govern how this works in practice.

09Availability and changes

Corri is run by one person. It may be unavailable for maintenance, because a provider has an outage, or because something broke. There's no uptime guarantee.

Features may change or be withdrawn. If a change materially reduces what a paid plan gives you, you'll be told in the app and can cancel.

These terms may change too. The effective date above will change with them, and material changes will be shown in the app before they take effect.

10Liability

Corri is provided as it is, without any promise that it will suit a particular purpose or always be available.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited — which includes death or personal injury caused by negligence, intent and gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, claims under the German Product Liability Act, and any guarantee given. Beyond that, liability is limited to damage that was foreseeable and typical for this kind of agreement.

11Ending the agreement

You can stop at any time by deleting your account in Settings. That removes every companion, conversation and memory immediately — see the Privacy Policy for what that means precisely.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks section 07, or where we're required to. Except where something is serious or unlawful, you'll be told why and given a chance to respond.

12Governing law

German law applies. If you're a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory law in the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your own local courts.

We are not obliged, and not willing, to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 VSBG).
